Our Story

Westfair TV Audio has been a Fairfield County family business for more than six decades.

The story began with Mort Levinson, a U.S. Navy veteran who worked with radar and electronics during the Korean War. After leaving the service, Mort entered the electronics business and in 1962, established Westfair TV in the Westfair Shopping Center. In those early days, the business sold and repaired radios and black-and-white televisions and installed rooftop antennas.

Mort’s son, Glenn Levinson, joined the family business after college in 1984. As technology changed, Glenn helped Westfair change with it—expanding from traditional television sales and service into custom audio, home theater, and eventually sophisticated residential and commercial technology integration. Glenn purchased the business from his father in 1991 and continues to lead the company today.

Through every generation of technology, one thing has remained constant: Westfair’s commitment to personal service, quality workmanship, and long-term relationships with its customers. Many of those relationships now span second and third generations of families.

Today, Westfair TV Audio combines more than 60 years of experience with the latest in audio, video, lighting, networking, security, automation, and integrated technology—continuing the Levinson family tradition of evolving with the times while never losing the personal service on which the company was built.

The family tradition continues today with Glenn’s son, Dylan Levinson, who serves in Business Development, representing the third generation of the Levinson family at Westfair. And the fourth generation may already be getting an early start—Glenn’s grandson, Napoleone, has even been spotted making an occasional appearance on the showroom floor.

From Mort to Glenn, Dylan and perhaps one day Napoleone, Westfair remains what it has always been at its heart: a family business built on experience, relationships and a genuine commitment to its customers.
